Mogadishu, (InsideSomalia.org) Two government soldiers and a civilian were killed ad five others wounded on Saturday in Yaqshid district in Mogadishu in an attack apparently meant for a passing convoy of Ethiopian troops, says witness.
"I saw mutilated human bodies scattered in the street 'said Abdi Yalahow, a resident at Yaqshid district speaking to Insidesomalia.org.
Two sisters who run a shop near the site of the explosion were reported among the died and a student was among those injured as said by a police official speaking in anonymity to InsideSomalia.org.
The bomb went off just after a convoy of Ethiopian soldiers in pickup trucks and other vehicles passed through the area. The site was cordoned off and surrounded by troops in the afternoon.
Somalia's new Prime Minister says he is willing to meet with opposition groups waging a guerrilla war against his interim government in pursuit of peace through a genuine national reconciliation process.
Prime Minister Nur "Adde" Hassan Hussein says he supports a broad-based reconciliation process that takes into account not only Islamist rebels, but also Somaliland separatists and clan-based factions.
He maintained that he is willing to open peace talks with the opposition without any preconditions.
